My Strategy for Buying and Selling at the Same Time

No matter the state of the market, I always get asked, “How can I buy and sell at the same time?” In 2022, there’s not a simple answer. There are a few different ways you can buy or sell at the same time, but all of them require a ton of cash. Different markets can also expect different things. In New York, people expect you to sell, rent, and then buy. That doesn’t apply to middle Tennessee, but if you want to maximize each step of the process, you may want to consider this. Know what your home is worth and have it ready to go as soon as you’re serious about selling. Start looking for your new house, and when you get it under contract, you want to negotiate a 30-day closing, 45 days if you can. We will list your old home the very next day and line up the closing dates.
