Here’s a quick tip to help prepare your home for the market.

When thinking about selling their homes, homeowners often ask how they can prepare their houses to ensure they have the most profitable sale possible. If you’re in this position, today I’ll share a quick tip to help you prep your home for the market.

One of the most important things to do is to tackle any deferred maintenance. In any market, buyers will be hesitant to make offers on homes that have many obvious maintenance issues like peeling paint and leaky faucets; it causes them to wonder about all the things they can’t see.

Here’s my advice: Start at your front door, walk through your house, and take note of the things that jump out at you. It’s helpful to come at it with fresh eyes, so channel the most critical person you can think of and scan your home for repairs that you can easily tackle.

If you take care of these issues before buyers come to view your home, you’ll greatly increase your chances of getting a profitable sale.
