How Your Referrals Help Tennessee Families
A quick birthday-month reflection on how your introductions helped Tennessee Kids Belong and Safe Haven.
February is my birthday month, and I want to tell you something you probably don’t hear from a Realtor very often. The part of last year I’m proudest of has nothing to do with sales numbers, price points, or how fast homes moved. It’s what happened because you shared our name, referred a friend, or trusted us with your own move.
Because of you, we got to roll up our sleeves with Tennessee Kids Belong, an organization that helps foster kids connect with long-term, loving families. We also took on a simple towel drive for Safe Haven, a family shelter that keeps families together. At the same time, they work toward stable jobs, stronger finances, and long-term housing, and your response was so big we ended up loading everything into a van just to deliver it.
If you’ve ever wondered whether your introductions really matter, this is the proof. It reaches farther than you think, and it helps real people right here in our community.
Why February matters to me. I love birthdays, and not just because of cake or candles. For me, birthdays are a reset button. They remind me to look back at what mattered, what grew, and what I want to carry forward. This year, the biggest highlights were tied to community partnerships we were part of, thanks to the people who support our business every day.
How Tennessee Kids Belong made an impact. One of the most meaningful things we got to do this past year was partner with Tennessee Kids Belong. Their mission is simple but powerful. They help foster kids connect with long-term, loving families. We were able to volunteer and support a few of their fundraising initiatives, and it was one of those experiences that stays with you. It also reminded me that real estate is about more than homes. It’s about families, stability, and a future that feels secure.
Why your referrals made it possible. None of that work happens without support. When you introduce us to someone you know, recommend us, or work with us yourself, you are doing more than helping our business grow. You are creating room for us to give back. That is something I don’t take lightly, and it’s a big part of why I love what I do.
“Because of your trust, we get to support foster kids finding loving families and help local shelters serve families with hope.”
What the Safe Haven towel drive really supported. The second community moment I want to share came from our towel drive for Safe Haven, a family shelter. Safe Haven does not just provide a warm bed for the night. They keep families together, keep kids with their parents, and then wrap services around those families so they can rebuild.
They help with stable employment, understanding finances, and finding long-term housing. That kind of support changes lives.
How the community showed up. Safe Haven shared a simple need with us. They needed new towels and wash rags. We expected a helpful response, but what happened was bigger than we imagined. Clients dropped items off. Neighbors dropped items off. We filled far more than we planned and ended up using our van to deliver it all.
Honestly, I would be shocked if Safe Haven has to ask for towels or washcloths again in all of 2026. That is how strong the response was.
When you refer us, your friends and family get high-level, five-star service, and you also help fuel these community partnerships. You help foster kids find long-term homes.
You help families in hard seasons find stability and hope. That is the part of real estate that people do not always see, but it matters deeply.
